We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a supportive Special School Primary School in Westcliff-on-Sea. This full-time role offers a permanent contract and is perfect for someone passionate about working with young learners who have a range of special educational needs.
As an SEND Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering creative and tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students. You will work closely with a team of teaching assistants and support staff to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive, both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEND students.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
* Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external professionals.
* Maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience in teaching SEND students is desirable but not essential.
* Strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies and approaches to primary education.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, staff, and parents.
* A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
