My client is seeking an experienced candidate to be responsible for managing and leading the Housing Solutions Service. This role involves providing strategic leadership to meet the statutory requirements of the new Homelessness Reduction Act and other housing legislation.
Duties Include:
1. Leading the teams delivering the Housing Solutions Service.
2. Promoting understanding of and adherence to the Council's values and behaviours by designing appropriate structures to deliver high quality, resident-focused services.
3. Obtaining and maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct in line with the expectations of a local government office and leading staff to adhere to such standards to uphold the Council's reputation.
4. Providing leadership to the multi-disciplinary teams that deliver homelessness advice, prevention, relief, and temporary accommodation, ensuring high quality customer-focused services.
5. Transforming front-line housing services to meet the new housing duties outlined in the Homelessness Reduction Act and other housing legislation and statutory instruments.
6. Providing direction and management to Homelessness Teams, planning, developing, and delivering statutory duties in line with Council Policy and priorities to reduce net expenditure on Temporary Accommodation through effective management of front-line demand, tailored personalised options, and streamlined assessment processes.
7. Leading responses to all issues relating to front-line housing assessments, housing plans, technical/legal housing issues, integration and digitalisation of personalised front-line assessments, responses to statutory changes, and local political directives.
