Job summary
The Stephenson Medical Practice is looking for a full-time enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to support their Practice Team.
The candidate should have previous Primary Care experience. EMIS web experience would be advantageous however training will be given.
INTERVIEW DATE 13.5.2025 -
Main duties of the job
Main duties:
Covering reception desk (on a rota basis)
Answering telephones
Arranging appointments
Scanning of clinical documents
Supporting the administration team with our daily "running" task

To ensurecomputers are made ready, telephones diverted and re-diverted, rooms opened forsurgeries to commence
Deal withall incoming and outgoing post
Enterupdated patient information onto the practice clinical system
Receivetelephone calls, take messages and respond to enquiries
Receiveand deal with any requests for repeat medication as appropriate to the role
Deal withall ambulance booking requests
Ensurecollection and distribution of any specimens received
Arrangeand maintain appointment systems for the primary care team
bookingand cancelling appointments where appropriate
Ensurewaiting room is tidy at all times
Ensuringlocums receive all necessary information
Providesupport to the attached staff, to ensure patients receive an efficient service
Responsiblefor dealing with actions required on path lab results and correspondence
Responsiblefor IT issues, problem solving including hardware issues with support fromthird party provider
