Job Description
The Launch Quality Centre Manufacturing Feasibility Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Manufacturing Feasibility is evaluated in line with business process.
Manufacturing Feasibility issues to be presented and agreed cross functionally and the product style and design influenced to support Manufacturing targets & functional deliverables.
Review style and design to identify & subsequently resolve manufacturing feasibility concerns and support Manufacturing Functional deliverables i.e. Design For Manufacture best practice, assembly time targets, production quality targets
Conduct analysis of part design through virtual and physical studies to provide recommendations, identify issues and support problem resolution.
Analyse dimensional management outputs and develop assembly strategies to ensure product quality targets are achieved (Delivery of Gap & Rad plan)
Support Virtual Build reviews to validate process hard points and sequence
Support Design and Manufacturing Feasibility reviews
Support complex problem investigation and resolution
Manage KPI's to support status reporting at key project milestones
Support definition of key BIW measurements for collation into Function Mass Catalogue (FMK) including discussions with other Group suppliers, influencing and agreeing changes in FMK.
