About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward our vision for apprenticeships within our expanding School of Nursing and Allied Health. Our contemporary courses are recognised by regulators and stakeholders for academic quality, innovation and close partnerships to healthcare and the wider sectors in which our graduates work.
As a Senior Lecturer, this project post will drive the curriculum design for our new Registered Degree Nursing Apprenticeship (Adult Nursing) course and engage in shaping the implementation of the curriculum, coordinating the team and leadership associated with this. This is an opportunity to shape our Apprenticeship offers at the University of Chichester that includes wider contributions with apprenticeship and practice. We offer fantastic new simulation-based learning facilities that include an immersive learning suite, virtual reality and robotics within our new dedicated building. Our mission is to provide outstanding education for the future Nursing and Allied Health Workforce in a face to face supportive and interprofessional community.
About you
Ideally candidates will have knowledge, experience and skills within the field of Apprenticeships and Nursing education alongside extensive partnership liaison experience. You will need to be a current Registered Adult Nurse with the Nursing Midwifery Council and have demonstrable expertise in innovative, effective and inspirational teaching and learning for students.
The successful candidate will need to be motivated, proactive and engage with collaborative working both as a team and with wider partners. We aim to ensure that we equip our graduates with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace upon graduation and throughout their professional careers. As such, we not only focus on the acquisition of caring science knowledge, but also on vital transferable skills, such as compassionate leadership and robust digital skills.

You will work within the team to strengthen the distinctiveness of the University's student experience as high-quality, personalised, accessible and aspirational. You'll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, excellent teaching methods with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
