We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.
You will be joining the Health and Wellbeing Team, part of the Student Services department. We are here to provide support to students experiencing a range of mental health and wellbeing concerns that may be impacting them academically and personally. Our team is comprised of a Wellbeing Adviser, Disability Support Adviser, Mental Health Adviser, Student Finance Adviser, and International Student Support Adviser.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Mental Health Adviser, you will focus on the management of a specialist student service for those with diagnosed or emerging mental health conditions. You will provide mental health support to a caseload of students including those who have more severe, complex, and enduring difficulties; ensuring students obtain appropriate treatment and support to successfully complete their studies. You will be a key member of the wider team and will assist the Head and Assistant Head of Service for Students in the continuous review and development of the service.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you will have experience managing a large caseload of students or clients presenting with a wide range of mental health related issues including administering mental health assessments, developing relevant support plans, and monitoring progress for students or clients. You will be a skilled communicator with excellent organisational skills and possess the ability to manage multiple caseloads and projects to deadline.
