The Warehouse Team Leader for the Outbound Department is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the outbound team, ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient picking, packing, and dispatching of orders. The Team Leader plays a key role in managing team performance, optimizing workflows, and maintaining a high standard of order accuracy and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong organizational and leadership skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively across departments to meet outbound targets and ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate the outbound team, ensuring all members understand their roles and performance expectations. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional growth of team members. Address any team member concerns or conflicts, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Outbound Operations Management: Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and dispatched on time. Coordinate with warehouse associates to prioritize orders and manage workflow based on order volume and deadlines. Collaborate closely with the shipping department to streamline dispatch processes and minimize delays. Inventory Accuracy and Quality Control: Conduct routine quality checks on picked and packed orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards. Monitor inventory levels in the outbound area, coordinating with Inventory Control for timely replenishment. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues with inventory, product quality, or shipment errors. Process Improvement and Efficiency: Identify opportunities to improve outbound operations, including workflow adjustments, layout optimization, and resource allocation. Work closely with the Outbound Manager and other team leads to implement best practices and improve operational efficiency. Ensure that all team members are trained on new procedures and adhere to standard operating protocols. Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring all team members comply with company and regulatory safety standards. Perform regular safety inspections and report any equipment malfunctions, incidents, or hazards to the relevant department. Promote a safety-first culture, conducting regular safety meetings and providing ongoing training. About You Qualifications: Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. 3 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in outbound logistics. Skills & Competencies: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively. Strong communication skills, with the ability to direct and support team members and coordinate with other departments. Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and basic computer applications (MS Excel, Word). Problem-solving skills and flexibility in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to [specific weight] lbs. Comfort with standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
