This role will involve working on feasibility studies, using computer analyses typically to support flooding and environmental improvement projects, site visits and liaison with clients, contractors, stakeholders and other professional bodies.,
* Development of computer models to investigate flooding and environmental problems and generation of outline solutions.
* Analysis of data.
* Support development of reports and other project deliverables.
* Undertake site surveys and walkovers.
* Prepare (and adhere to) health and safety risk assessments.
Experience/Awareness of network modelling and civil engineering would be advantageous but not essential as full on the job training will be provided., BSc/BEng/MEng degree level, engineering, geography, GIS, Science Related subject or equivalent considered., An interest in the water environment and sustainability and desire to apply your skills to the challenges the water environment faces.

* Excellent communication Skills - oral and written.
* Proactive self-starter.
* Desire to learn and develop technically and work towards a professional qualification., Any prior experience of similar work in areas such as water and drainage.
* Experience of Infoworks ICM software.
* Understanding of the water cycle.
* Geographic information systems (MapInfo/ArcGIS).
* Visual Basic or other programming skills (e.g. Python).
* Knowledge and experience of computer modelling principles.
* UK driving licence.
