Electrical Design Engineer with industrial machinery experience sought to join a well-established OEM in Hampshire. The business is at a strong growth point, and with the addition of a new Commerical Director, the plan is for continued expansion.\n\nElectrical Design Engineer - The Role:\n\n * Engage with a diverse range of applications including power conversion systems, industrial automation, thermal management systems, materials science, electronic control systems, industrial software & mechanical machinery\n\n * Take on a team leadership role within the business, with a growth plan into Design Manager\n\n * Be involved in site work, with a typical split of 90% office-based tasks and 10% on-site duties\n\nElectrical Design Engineer - The Person:\n\n * Experience of electrical system engineering, ideally with transformers, switches, converters\n\n * Proven experience of control panel design incorporating automation control systems such as PLC/HMI/SCADA\n\n * Knowledge of electrical distribution in machinery\n\n * Experience with an electrical CAD package such as Eplan, AutoCAD Electrical, SEE Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical\n\n * An interest in or experience with PLC software design and machinery safety highly advantageous – not essential\n\n * Have a good level of mechanical competence\n\n * Machinery safety is key for this business, so any experience is highly advantageous, however they will provide formal training\n\nThis is a role focused on Electrical Design, however any additional knowledge of PLC software would be an added bonus.
Currently, all PLC software is outsourced, therefore it would be great to have some in-house skills within this area. They have recently adopted Eplan as their standard package - Eplan experience would be great, however, training will be provided.\n\nThis is an ideal time to join an established business who are heading into a new phase of growth and looking to the future.
