Design and Technology Teacher
Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join a school in the Barnstaple area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire students and develop their creativity and technical skills.
Role Overview:
* Deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
* Teach a range of DT specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering.
* Plan and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Encourage problem-solving, innovation, and hands-on learning.
* Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the department and wider school community.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level.
* Strong classroom management and practical teaching skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop setting.
* Enthusiasm for fostering creativity and technical ability in students.
