Our client, a leading firm specialising in Clinical Negligence, are seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join their esteemed Clinical Negligence team. The successful candidate will work on a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to the ongoing success of the firm.
The role:
* Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims under the supervision of senior solicitors.
* Conduct thorough investigations into medical malpractice cases, including obtaining and reviewing medical records, instructing experts, and drafting witness statements.
* Provide clear and compassionate legal advice to clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the process.
* Prepare legal documents, including letters of claim, pleadings, and court bundles.
* Attend court hearings, case management conferences, and settlement meetings.
* Liaise with medical experts, barristers, and other third parties to progress cases efficiently.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the firm’s case management system.
* Contribute to the firm’s business development activities, including writing articles and attending networking events.
Requirements
* Qualified solicitor with a strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree).
* Completed a training contract with significant exposure to clinical negligence or personal injury law.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate approach to client care.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Proficient in using legal research tools and case management software.
* Previous experience in a dedicated clinical negligence department.
