The Role Do you want to work for the UK’s leading manufacturer of decorative surfaces and laminate worktops? They are currently searching for a Quality Engineer. Key Responsibilities: Assist Quality Lead(s) to resolve Quality issues within production and operations. Ensure products meet Customer requirement and product specifications Support in handling customer complaints, corrective action and feedback Carry out laboratory test/inspection and report/rectify non-conformance issues. Support maintenance of Integrated Business Management Systems Involved with and conduct internal and external audits / audit systems Write reports and provide information to management Liaise and communicate with other departments Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts business financials, customer satisfaction and future orders. Ensure all incidents of non-conformance are recorded. Assist/support the calibration system, ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated. Normal duties include: Report writing, taking measurements, non-conformance, corrective and preventive action, customer and supplier claims, document and record control, calibration, measurement, inspection and test. Skills and Qualifications Essential: Communication and listening Being observant and technical minded to resolve technical and mechanical tasks Being thorough and dependable (an eye for specifics and detail) Able to use various measurement equipment / devices (incl: Aesthetic/visual) Using good judgment and be willing to challenge the norm’s Handling multiple tasks (multi-tasking / task management) – self starter Use of Information technology Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Desirable: Equipment MSA, GR&R, CPk Studies.
