We are seeking a passionate Lecturer in Media to co-ordinate designated study programme delivery activities for the College, including delivery of high quality teaching. The successful applicant will be responsible for day to day operational issues, exams and time tabling, ensuring a consistent approach is maintained across both sites if required. They will inspire and motivate students through outstanding teaching and learning that stretches and challenges students to be the best they can be. Lecturers should be passionate about their area of teaching and be enthusiastic about developing their students English, Maths and other employability skills. All of this will be underpinned by regular target setting and progress monitoring to ensure that all students reach successful outcomes. This is a part time position working 18.5 hours, 52 weeks per year. Please note the salary shown is the full time equivalent salary. This will be pro rated salary range of £15,829 - £21,609. The ideal candidate may have experience across traditional media production formats including Film, Television, Journalism, Radio, and with key associated skills such as writing, directing, composition, camera work, lighting, audio, editing, VFX and colour grading. The suitable person may also be proficient with new media formats and processes including podcast, short form video, finishing, social media, and new marketing practices. Teaching experience is desirable. Passion and enthusiasm for the subject is essential.
