As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
You’ll work during our core hours of 10am-5pm on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday with additional days to cover training and bank holidays.
The ability to communicate fluently in both English and Welsh is essential for this role.
We’re currently undertaking our pay review process and it is likely that this salary will be increased from 1st April 2025.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can.
You'll work at the visitor reception and be the first person visitors meet when they arrive. You’ll develop knowledge of Plas yn Rhiw and the local area as you’ll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. You'll operate the till, scanning membership cards, processing admissions and selling a small range of souvenirs. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place you’ll work with the rest of the team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.
You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, keeping the reception area and toilets clean and free of litter at all times as well as helping to ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
