Bookkeeper required for a company in High Wycombe upto 42k
Your new company
A medium-sized business in High Wycombe requires a bookkeeper to support its accountant. This is a stand-alone role where, to begin with, you will be on site 5 days a week and then move to a hybrid model.
Your new role
1. Maintain accurate financial records using Sage accounting software.
2. Process accounts payable and receivable.
3. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
4. Prepare and submit VAT returns.
5. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
6. Handle payroll processing and related tasks.
7. Monitor and manage company budgets.
8. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
9. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
10. Perform general accounting duties as required.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills.
Relevant certification or degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
