The Vacancy
MSS Environmental Ltd and the RSK Group are recruiting for a Senior Contracts Manager to join the team based in Cardiff, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The MSS Group is a specialist provider of facilities, industrial and environmental services with expertise in hazardous, highly regulated and complex environments.
The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for the entire lifecycle of a project, from initial assessment and planning phases to execution, delivery and completion. The Senior Contract Manager will ensure the project is completed on time, within budget and to the agreed quality standards whilst maintaining compliance with the legislative and regulatory standards including HASAW, CDM and CAR 2012 and MSS Environmental's policies, procedures and standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct site assessments to enable the development of comprehensive project plans, including scope, project timelines, cost estimates, resource and risk assessments to ensure risk is minimised AFARP.
* Define project objectives and deliverables with key stakeholders.
* Oversee procurement of materials, equipment and specialist sub-contract to ensure availability, added value and ensure project specific requirements are met.
* Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with all project stakeholders.
* Ensure delivery teams understand project requirements including, methodology, site parameters, project goals, timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications And Experience
* To demonstrate good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and practices and policies.
* Good working knowledge of CDM Regulations and practical experience in their application.
* Discharge the responsibilities of the Principal Contractor under CDM, not least in managing all safety aspects of the construction and where applicable Asbestos removal based activities.
* Responsible for ensuring that a system is in place for ensuring all MSS Site Team(s) and Contractors are set to work and managed in line with the MSS Environmental's Safety Management System.
