Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist | Spire Dunedin Hospital, Reading | Private Hospital | Full TimeDuties and responsibilities:
- The Breast/Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is a key role within the Spire Dunedin Hospital and
- provides clinical expertise to the breast care.
- They are responsible and accountable for own practice within the clinical area and for
- delivering a quality service for all stakeholders.
- They are responsible for proactively identifying areas of their service for development; then
- implementing and evaluating change using current research, audit and experience.
- To achieve the highest possible standard of nursing care that balances customer satisfaction
- with the most efficient use of resources.
- They are expected to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support
- our patients and their families/carers and all clinical staff within Spire Dunedin Hospital.
- They proactively promote their service within Spire Dunedin Hospital participating in
- relevant forums.
- Represent Spire Dunedin Hospital
- To support the implementation of new clinical services.
- To support other body part future oncology services at Spire Dunedin Hospital.
- Host MDT meetings and provides minutes and actions from each meeting.
- Attend relevant tumour board meetings.
Who we're looking for:
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration with no restrictions or conditions.
- Hold a Breast Care Certificate and willing to work towards a SACT Qualification
- Excellent communication, organisational & IT skills, with the ability to organise work around competing demands on time
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Compassionate, empathetic and able to showcase excellent patient care
Working Hours: Full Time 37.5hrs per week - Monday - Friday
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time
