A mainstream secondary school in Poole is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Work closely with students to enhance their engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere, promoting confidence and independence among students.
- Collaborate with other staff and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working with children or young adults, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the well-being of all students.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
