We need a Project Controls Manager to join us at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies as part of the Project Controls Team working on our Trident Programme. You will be responsible for tasking and developing embedded teams which may include multi-disciplined personnel, i.e., project controls, planning, risk, cost and analytical services, supporting key business delivery streams. A typical day for a Project Controls Manager could look like this: As a Project Controls Manager within Trident, you will head a multi-functional Project Controls teams. It’s vital that we ensure delivery of our Trident project programme, to do this, y ou will need to engage, negotiate, and influence people across the business to ensure effective controls are in place to monitor progress, manage issues and mitigate slippage. Applying procedures, processes and systems to ensure the quality and consistency of data supported by your team Line and task managing and deployment of Project Controls team members Building great relationships to influence key stakeholders Ensuring compliance with Earned Value Management governance Providing analysis and insight of project performance data to the Head of Programme Leading change control and baseline management for the Programme Co-ordinating, validating and providing key commentary supporting production of monthly reports Highlighting trends and root causes of deviations against the baseline using lead and lag indicators and reporting effective remedial actions in order to drive best value.
