Job overview
We are looking for a qualified Advanced Audiologist with broad experience in working in Adult Diagnostic. You will work in a team of audiologists in the RNENT Adult Diagnostic audiology team and work alongside Multidisciplinary Teams when assessing patients and planning their management.
As an Advanced Audiologist, you will be providing high-quality audiological care to adult patients with a wide range of complexities. You will be responsible for supporting your manager and ensuring that our service user's needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care. As a centre of excellence, you will offer a person-centred approach to their independence and well-being.
Main duties of the job
* Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out Adult Diagnostic testing procedures.
* Responsible for adult caseload of patients primarily requiring hearing test procedures.
* Support colleagues in AVM, ENT with audiological testing.
* Treat all patients with dignity and care in a safe supportive manner whilst adhering to clinical governance requirements.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential criteria
* MSc in Clinical Audiology/Hearing Therapy or equivalent level of knowledge/expertise in field CAC or equivalent postgraduate experience.
* Registered to practice as an Audiologist/ Clinical Scientist/Hearing Therapist with either Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP).
* Significant postgraduate experience in relevant clinical area.
* Evidence of postgraduate CPD.
* Applied theoretical knowledge of the relevant assessment and therapeutic/rehabilitative procedures for the management of audiological or vestibular conditions in adults and/or children.
* Knowledge of impact of co-morbidities such as global delay or neurological conditions in the management of adults and/or children.
Desirable criteria
* Membership of BAA, BSA.
* Postgraduate management/leadership training or experience as supervisor.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Demonstrable experience in the relevant clinical area and evidence of clinical competency with a complex patient caseload.
* Specialist knowledge of routine and non-routine diagnostic/ therapeutic audiological assessment procedures, their interpretation, and their implications for patient management.
* Experience in formulating comprehensive management plans based on case history information and diagnostic test results, where management decisions may or may not be straightforward.
* Experience of working with hearing impaired patients/parents/carers and associated professionals.
* Evidence of participation in clinical audit, research, and/or presentations at scientific meetings.
