Platform Resourcing is collaborating with a Logistics company based in the Cwmbran area who are looking for a new Data & Technology Manager. The role has a variety of responsibilities including management of Data & Reporting systems and administration function, managing IT support team members, and lastly managing systems including software, hardware and configuration. You will act as the conduit between technical teams and operational users, assisting in developing a continuous improvement culture, making necessary changes to drive effective improvements within administration of the centralised system.
Data & Technology Manager
* £35,000 - £45,000 negotiable depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
1. Data and Reporting - Managing data, Power BI reporting, and Azure administration (50%)
2. System management, support, and configuration (25%)
3. IT management - Overseeing the IT team and managing Microsoft 365 (25%)
4. Provide first-line management of core IT infrastructure (Microsoft 365), escalating issues to second-line outsourced IT support when necessary.
5. Take ownership of the group's data warehouse (Azure) and maintain the relationship with the outsourced Data and AI technology partner.
6. Develop Power BI reports for internal management and external data presentation.
7. Extract and analyze data using Excel to provide business insights and support decision-making.
8. Ensure data governance aligns with organizational strategy, focusing on accuracy, integrity, and security.
9. Propose measures to enhance business systems' performance and data quality.
10. Perform internal system configuration and data tasks, such as creating new properties and managing user accounts.
11. Oversee system availability and manage issue resolution for SLA1 (system-down) incidents.
12. Document and monitor business processes and work instructions.
13. Act as the primary liaison between internal/external users and technology partners.
14. Train internal staff on business systems and ensure correct usage practices.
15. Serve as the lead analyst for implementing relevant system changes.
Skills
1. At least 3 years' experience using PowerBI to analyse and visualise data
2. Competence in managing an Azure cloud data warehouse
3. Strong understanding of APIs and an integrated system environment
4. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
