As our Medical Devices Safety Officer you will be the lead in providing assurance to our Quality & Safety Committee of any safety issues relating to Medical Devices and will therefore need to demonstrate a wide range of experience, an ability to foster productive working relationships and have a strong sense of responsibility and resilience. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day management of Medical Device incident management, training and safety alerts. This will include: the provision of assurance that all the required assessments are completed in a timely manner the provision of advice and guidance to colleagues in regard to the clinical operation of any medical device acting as the competent person for Medical Device Safety to ensure that the Trust meets its obligations under the National Patient Safety Strategy, including dissemination of learning the development and deployment of Medical Devices policies ensuring that they keep abreast of all the latest advice and guidance. Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, the successful applicant will have extensive knowledge and experience of working within the field of Clinical Engineering and Medical Device safety that will ensure cohesive working with our Clinical Engineering, Learning & Development, Cybersecurity, Procurement, and Central Governance teams in the continuous improvement of safe systems of work.
