Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
We are working in partnership with an alternative provision in Macclesfield, seeking a dedicated individual to join a supportive and positive team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing tailored support to children with additional needs, including Autism (ASD) and ADHD.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the classroom teacher to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Assist in preparing and delivering lesson materials suited to the needs of SEND students.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support children's ongoing development.
- Set and monitor individual targets, adapting learning strategies to maximise progress.
Candidate:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND.
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
- An enhanced DBS and two professional references.
- A proactive and positive approach, with a commitment to helping students achieve their potential.
