SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – LABELLING SOLUTIONS
LOCATION: NORTHERN ENGLAND / MIDLANDS
Salary Circa £60K + Bonus (Up to 20% of Salary) + Company Car + Pension + Death in Service Benefits

With a focus on growth and profitability, this company is expanding its reach and offering a dynamic role for a driven Sales Development Manager.
As a Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for both hunting new business and managing a portfolio of existing accounts (up to £2 million). You will take ownership of identifying and securing new market opportunities while also nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients. While your focus will be broad across all markets (not just beverage), you will bring a proactive, growth-driven mindset to every opportunity, enabling you to maximise revenue potential and strengthen market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take a proactive approach to generate new business, targeting diverse markets and identifying potential clients who could benefit from their innovative labelling solutions.
* Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring long-term satisfaction and growth.
* Build strong relationships and work closely with clients to meet their evolving needs.
* Develop and execute sales strategies to expand your portfolio and increase revenue across all markets.
* Work with internal teams to create tailored solutions that align with client objectives.
* Research and identify new industries, sectors, and business opportunities where the company can offer its labelling expertise.
* Develop a strong understanding of emerging trends and challenges across multiple sectors.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and marketing, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and superior customer experiences.
* Regularly analyse the performance of your accounts, track key metrics, and adjust strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
* Provide insights and reports to senior management.
* Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by providing outstanding service, anticipating their needs, and fostering long-term partnerships that lead to growth opportunities.
* Manage your sales pipeline and provide regular updates on progress, forecasting, and performance metrics.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* At least 5 years of experience in a sales role, ideally within a B2B or manufacturing environment.
* Proven ability to hunt new business while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
* A proactive, results-oriented approach with the ability to find, close, and grow new business across diverse industries.
* Strong understanding of self adhesive labels and their applications across a wide range of industries (not just beverage).
* Ability to nurture existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities with a customer-first mindset.
* A strong strategic mindset with the ability to assess market trends and translate them into sales opportunities.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of an organisation.
* Comfortable working remotely with occasional travel to meet clients and attend key industry events.
