They are currently looking for an additional Packaging Technologist to support their growth. As a Packaging Technologist, you’ll work in state of the art facilities and play a vital role in driving innovation in sustainable and high-quality packaging for vitamin and supplements being delivered to over 50 countries. You will be responsible for developing new packaging concepts that align with global recycling trends and sustainability initiatives. This approach has helped our client to become a multi-award winning business, positioning them as the one of the best supplement manufacturers in the UK. As a Packaging Technologist you’ll be key in continuously refining packaging processes to enhance efficiency and functionality. Key Responsibilities: Develop & Innovate – Design and refine packaging solutions to meet sustainability and quality standards. Supplier Collaboration – Work closely with suppliers to select materials that ensure functionality, safety, and integrity. Process Improvement – Implement new and refined packaging processes to optimise production. Quality Control & Compliance – Ensure packaging meets regulatory, safety, and food manufacturing requirements. Testing & Validation – Conduct development trials, approve packaging sources, and maintain quality parameters. Artwork & Specification Management – Oversee artwork approvals and write technical specifications. What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Food Science, or a related field. Previous experience as a Packaging Technologist in FMCG, food, nutraceutical, or pharmaceutical industries. Experience with automatic filling, capping, blister packaging, or labelling machinery. Specialist Knowledge & Skills: Deep understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and regulatory requirements. Hands-on experience with multiple packaging formats. Proficiency with packaging design software. Knowledge of sustainability practices in packaging.
