Our stunning care home, Cheadle Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in the popular location of Cheadle village, Stockport. The home is registered to provide care to 68 residents who have a variety of care needs including residential and nursing. The home reflects the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. The home meets all CQC requirements and provides the highest level of safety, comfort, and care to residents. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care, and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand-selected for their warmth and passion; they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. New Care has had 0 agency usage for over 4 years as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust. Across New Care, all of our staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality of care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans. You will contribute to the efficient and effective running of the Care Home. We have full time contracts available with an hourly rate of £11.50 - £11.70! Shift times are 0745-2000, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. To deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practice when delivering care.
4. Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs in line with agreed care plans.
5. Contribute to the daily records of residents.
6. Contribute to effective teamwork and undertake tasks delegated to you efficiently and effectively.
7. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable.
2. Care certificate or equivalent or a willingness to achieve this in the first 12 months of employment.
3. Evidence of good care practice knowledge relating to the care of older people.
4. Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin the delivery of care in a residential/nursing setting.
5. Demonstrate the ability to work in a team.
6. Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence.
