Job summary The Reception desk in the Renal Department is a key role in supporting our patients journey at UHCW. We are looking to recruit a new member of staff to support patients who attend our department, with booking in patients, supporting relatives and general administrative duties. The role requires a calm and friendly manner to work in a very busy environment. You will possess effective communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent patient experience. The role provides an efficient and responsive service to meet the needs of patients and visitors attending Renal Clinics. The receptionist role welcomes, receives and greets all visitors to the area, providing the first point of contact for all service users, resolving routine enquiries professionally and in accordance with Departmental and Trust standards and procedures, and referring other queries to relevant colleagues where appropriate. Responsible for dealing with all calls received from the public and other staff in the hospital in a professional manner, ensuring telephone standards are always met.
