We are looking for a bright, results driven and entrepreneurial marketeer with a passion for food marketing. This role blends commercial rigour with insight led creativity – we are looking for an SBM with strong leadership skills, fresh ideas, and an ability to think conceptually whilst also looking after the details.
Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be taking the lead on the innovation and renovation strategy and execution which will play a key role in driving the growth on one of the nation’s most loved food brands.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Responsible for building the long term, consumer-led innovation and core renovation strategy and plan.
2. Translation of the needs of the consumer, our customers and the business to develop winning propositions.
3. Managing the portfolio in a way which maximises our offer for the consumers and drives sales and profit for the business.
4. Development and execution of NPD.
5. With insight developing the right learning plan for all innovation and renovation.
6. Leadership, management and collaboration with agencies.
7. Delivering strong commercial propositions through the innovation/renovation process.
8. Supports sales team on launching innovation - work on customer specific strategies, able to support on impact of ‘sell-ins’ with customers.
9. Tracking of NPD launch data and making the necessary pivots as required.
What are the “must haves” from you?
1. Knowledge or experience of developing a consumer-first approach to innovation and renovation strategy.
2. End to end knowledge or experience of how to build product pipelines.
3. An ability to lead and inspire a diverse set of people and the ability to get the most out scarce resources.
4. A pragmatic approach to getting work done taking into consideration the different requirements of the business and all stakeholders.
5. Strong level of commerciality – an understanding or experience working with a P&L.
