The Role We are recruiting for an experienced piping site engineer & supervisor on behalf of a leading industrial contractor. This contract role is based at a large-scale project in Shotton, where you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of piping systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and managing on-site teams. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in piping installation to take on a key role in a high-profile industrial project. Responsibilities Planning daily piping activities and assigning tasks to team members. Coordinating with other departments and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow. Reviewing and interpreting piping isometric drawings, plans, and blueprints. Supervising, monitoring, and directing the work of piping teams and subcontractors. Collaborating with engineering and project management teams to resolve design discrepancies or field modifications. Monitoring progress and providing daily updates to engineers and managers. Ensuring all work is completed in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Requirements Experience working on large-scale construction projects in sectors like oil & gas, water treatment, power, or heavy industry. SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme). NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in mechanical engineering or a related field (preferred). Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively. Valid CSCS card or equivalent site certification. What’s on Offer Competitive hourly or daily rates based on experience.
