Further information: A female PA is required to join a team of two PAs to support a 49-year-old lady with physical disabilities who uses an electric wheelchair. The PA will be required to assist with providing personal care, general household duties and meal preparation, taking her medication, going to hospital visits, Dr’s appointments, visiting family, and going out for coffee. The lady has an accessible vehicle, and the successful applicant will have a full driving licence. Applicants should also have a strongly developed sense of social justice in supporting the social inclusion of disabled people in their local community. Previous care experience is preferable, and knowledge of Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) is advantageous, although training will be provided.
The days are variable but would include some weekend work, and this can be discussed at interview. Must be flexible.
