Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer based at University Hospital Ayr on a fixed-term, 12 month contract.
What you will do:
In this role, you will provide a clerical service to clinicians throughout the division, ensuring that procedures are in place to initiate and maintain accurate and up to date patient case records to support clinical care, as well as administration of all out-patient appointment systems and waiting lists, facilitating equitable access to specialties across the division.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
* Maintenance and filing of patients' confidential records, recording patient-related data, admissions and booking out-patient appointments using the computerised Patient Management System.
* Providing reception service, answering telephones and relaying messages.
* Be able to work flexibly in order to meet service demands.
* You should possess SVQ Level 2 in administration or equivalent qualification or experience.
Hours:
29.6 hours per week, this post is based within the Emergency Department Reception and you will be required to work over a 7 week shift rotation (day shift/night shift).
