Preston College are looking for a Lecturer to teach biology to learners on our science courses at levels 2 and 3. You will plan and deliver both sessions, create and maintain schemes of work and plan assessments. You will also undertake the role of personal tutor and support and guide learners throughout their time at college ensuring that they achieve their potential. We are seeking someone who can establish open and trusting relationships with learners and develop learning materials that will help them achieve their qualifications and start a successful career. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their passion for science and show how they can plan and design learning programmes and sessions that instil their passion for the subject in their learners. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate how they can tailor and adapt their lessons to their individual learner’s pace, learning style and needs. A teaching qualification is desirable, but if you don’t have one and are willing to work towards achieving one then we will support you to do so, both financially and academically.
