Job Description
FamilyCare Health Centers is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician.
Physical Requirements:
The associate is regularly required to talk, hear, and read. The position requires constant physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and grasping. The associate is required to climb, balance, and bend and be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment. The associate must frequently lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds or more.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent with basic maintenance knowledge and experience. Highly skilled with various hand and power tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal communication skills.
Basic Function:
Responsible for ensuring facilities are maintained properly by scheduling regular maintenance of all facilities. The associate will provide all basic first-line maintenance needs and then call outside vendors for assistance if needed. Build and maintain relationships with one service vendor for each service, i.e., electrician, plumber, etc. Maintain a safe working environment while following all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Oversees building and grounds maintenance at all FamilyCare facilities.
* Performs basic repairs and maintenance, including minor electrical and plumbing repair, changing light bulbs, painting, etc.
* Perform or arrange preventative maintenance on the standard recommended frequency, including, but not limited to HVAC, generators, back-flow prevention testing, etc.
* Arrange and oversee professional repairs as needed.
* Build and maintain working relationships with professional service vendors, such as electricians, plumbers, HVAC, etc.
* Conduct and document quarterly facility inspections.
* Coordinates service or maintenance needs with the local Managers to ensure operations are not impacted.
* Complies with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines.
* Recommends additional repairs when identified.
* Travel to all FamilyCare Health Center locations is required.
* Other duties as assigned.
