The Service
The Alyth services include Airlie View and Burnside Court, both of which support those with additional support requirements within 24 hour accommodation-based settings; and an outreach service which supports individuals in their own homes in Alyth and Blairgowrie.
The individuals we support have a wide range of needs and abilities and we work in a person-centred way to assist them to achieve their outcomes.
The Role
As a Support Worker you will:
* Deliver a high standard of care for individuals in-line with their outcomes plans
* Provide holistic daily living support to individuals, including assistance with cooking, cleaning, budgeting and personal care; with a person-centered approach
* Provide support and encouragement to enable individuals to participate in and enjoy leisure, social and other meaningful activities
You Will
* Have a positive flexible attitude
* Be a good communicator, both written and verbal
* Have good time-keeping and organisational skills
* Be able to demonstrate transferrable skills relating to care
* Have the right values, behaviours and attitude to work effectively with individuals who require care and support
* Possess an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or the willingness to undertake study to achieve this
* Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
* Have a full UK driving licence
