* Educated to degree level/ post graduate diploma level/ AAT level 4 diploma or equivalent CCAB professional accounting qualification or equivalent level of experience.

Experience

* Significant experience working in a large or complex organisation, ideally within the NHS.

Skills and knowledge
Essential criteria
* Strong analytical skills for recognising trends, anomalies, preparing financial analysis, forecasting and performance reviews.
* Advanced knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Skills for nurturing key relationships and maintaining networks.
* Ability to problem solve and respond to sudden unexpected demands.
* Takes decisions on difficult and contentious issues where there may be a number of courses of action.
* Develop or create reports and documents to meet specifications of others.
Desirable criteria
* Previous experience in project management and planning.
