Lunchtime Playworker Required as soon as possible Part time – 6.25 hours per week Term time only Permanent Salary grade A point 2 (FTE £23,656) - actual salary £3,348.84 actual salary per annumBulwell St Mary’s CofE Primary School are looking for a lunchtime playworker to support our fun and friendly children, aged 3 to 11, in quality active play at dinner times. The role may include providing support and cover for our midday supervisors, but is predominantly about play and engaging the children. Ideally applicants will have a relevant Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) or above, and have some experience of working with 3 –11 year olds in a play environment. Main Responsibilities are: • Supervision, organisation and safeguarding of children within the playground or dining hall environment.• Provide high-quality, safe and stimulating play for the children. • To assist as required to ensure a calm, clean environment in the dining hall. The successful candidate will be friendly, have good communication skills as well as the ability to adapt their approach to suit the needs and different personalities of the children.
