Responsibilities:
1. Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
2. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.
3. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
4. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
5. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio).
6. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
7. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
8. Communicate each day's activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
9. Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in categories such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy conservation.
10. Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and cleanup of the painting or repair area.
11. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repair on all types of equipment, plumbing, and electrical components.
12. Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
13. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
14. Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping as well as external landscaping sprinklers.
15. Display basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.

2. Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
3. Complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials.
4. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
5. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
6. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
7. Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
8. Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
9. Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
10. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
11. Speak with others using clear and professional language.
12. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
13. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
14. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
15. Enter and locate work-related information using computers.
16. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
License or Certification: Driver's License required.
