There is an immediate opportunity for an experienced management accountant to join our Rotherham based client for an interim contract for an initial 3-5 months. The role will work closely with the Finance Director, supporting them through the year-end process. The role requires an individual who is either part or fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Production of monthly management accounts.
2. Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
3. Preparing month-end accounting adjustments.
4. Managing bank, creditor, and debtor ledgers and dealing with queries regarding payments or receipts.
5. Assisting with the preparation of consolidated reporting for the Group.
6. Variance Analysis.
7. Intercompany reconciliation.
8. Assisting with the preparation of year-end financial statements.
9. Ad hoc project support.
10. Liaising with auditors.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:
1. Ideally part / newly qualified in ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
2. Strong Excel skills, with good overall IT skills; working knowledge of Sage Line 50 would be advantageous but not essential.
3. Excellent communication skills with the confidence and ability to present to senior stakeholders across the business.
4. An organised, flexible approach with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to meet deadlines.
5. High focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
