Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: Hatfield Moor, Doncaster. DN7 6TE
Salary depending on experience with up to 10% Bonus and Single Person Healthcare

Purpose
Responsible for the Asset Management of plant and equipment, with emphasis on the compliance with COMAH Regulations at Hatfield Moor Gas Storage Facility. You will be responsible for the management of resources to deliver cost effective, medium and long-term maintenance solutions for plants.
Managing the provision of planned maintenance using in-house resources and external service providers, you will ensure all statutory requirements relating to mechanical systems, PSSR, COMAH, GSMR, LOLER, PUWER, ATEX Pipeline and Borehole Regulations on site are undertaken and records maintained to ensure continued compliance.
Responsibilities
1. Implementing the company's Technical Risk Management which covers Plant Status Review, Plant Modifications, Engineering Standards and Plant Aging, you will prepare and manage major contracts in support of Maintenance requirements of the site.
2. Creating technical specifications for these contracts and developing a pricing schedule for tender submissions, you will develop and deliver Engineering Best Practice across the site.
3. Ensuring all Mechanical maintenance and engineering issues are progressed effectively, you will also ensure all statutory requirements relating to the mechanical systems, PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, COMAH, GSMR, Pipeline and Borehole Regulations are complied with.
4. Managing PSSR & PSR systems and requesting assistance from the relevant Competent Person when required, you will be responsible for the management of Process Safety and KPI's associated with areas of responsibility.
5. Providing Mechanical maintenance and engineering support to the maintenance team, you will play a major role in the preparation and supervision of Mechanical Maintenance work carried out during plant overhauls and day-to-day operations. Acting as the ScottishPower work sponsor/focal point for any Mechanical sub-contracts scopes, you will be proactive and creative in your approach to fault diagnosis and problem solving.
What you'll bring
Experienced in Mechanical Maintenance of a COMAH facility, gas storage site, large generating plant (CCGT) or equivalent, you will be educated to HNC level (minimum) in Mechanical Engineering/technical risk or possess equivalent qualifications and experience.
With knowledge of current legislation (COMAH, Borehole Regs, PSSR, GSMR), you will hold a sound commercial background covering financial, procurement and contractual processes.
Previous experience of management/maintenance of a Top Tier COMAH facility, as well as understanding engineering standards and legislation is advantageous.
A valid driving license is required for the role holder.
