Bury Council has a new permanent position available for an Advanced Practitioner within the Connected Care Team to work full time based in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Working Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Main Duties as a Social Worker:
* Conduct complex assessments of children and young people’s needs, including those in the leaving care system, using advanced social work techniques.
* Develop, implement, and review comprehensive care plans that address the holistic needs of children, young people, and care leavers, ensuring they are tailored to their individual circumstances and goals.
* Provide expert intervention and support for children and young people experiencing significant challenges, including safeguarding concerns, complex family dynamics, and transitioning out of care.
* Employ advanced therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices to address emotional, behavioural, and developmental issues.
* Manage a caseload of complex cases, including those involving children and young people with high needs or at risk of significant harm.
* Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals, education staff, and legal representatives, to ensure integrated and effective care.
Key Requirements for this role:
* Possess a degree in Social Work (such as CQSW, CSS, DiPSW, or an equivalent qualification).
* Must be registered with Social Work England.
* Extensive post-qualifying experience in a Social Work setting, specifically working with children and families.
* Proven expertise in a specialist area of social work such as Child Protection, Court work, Children in Care, Fostering, or Adoption.
* In-depth knowledge of Children’s Social Worker professional standards, regulatory requirements, and inspection regimes.
