Job summary
Do you have experience of leading and motivating others with the ability to manage change? If so, HM Land Registry (HMLR) are now looking for Line Managers to join our Data Transformation Team within the Local Land Charges Programme (LLC).
As a Data Transformation Team Line Manager, you will provide leadership, direction and support to a team of Administration Officers (AOs). You will deliver a key production role within this £200 million Programme recognised under the Government Major Projects portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued success of the Local Land Charges Programme. HM Land Registry launched the new Local Land Charges (LLC) Register in the summer of 2018. We need your expertise, enthusiasm and drive to further roll out this new service.
Job description
In this varied and fast-paced role, you will react quickly to changes in priorities, supporting the Data Transformation Team to adapt to change through good leadership and communication.
Your role may include Line Management of both HMLR employed and agency employed team members. Your teams duties may involve data entry, spatial capture, scanning, or quality control, subject to business requirements. You will be responsible for production, quality and time management for your team, acting as a first point of referral for any technical queries or logistical problems.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to work at least 30 hours per week and you may be required to increase the amount of time you spend working in the office beyond our usual expectation of at least 60% of your normal working week, if you are asked to supervise agency staff. There may also be an occasional requirement to travel to other HMLR locations, which may involve an overnight stay.

Person specification
To be successful in this role, you will have skills and experience in map interpretation and using a variety of spatial data sources. You must have excellent leadership and motivational skills and be experienced in managing change and driving a team to deliver against challenging and changeable deadlines. You will also be experienced in giving feedback and coaching to both individuals and teams.
You will have proven ability in communicating effectively with stakeholders at all organisational levels, be able to interpret and explain complex instructions and recognise when you need to refer and escalate issues encountered.

Selection process details
This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Strengths, Experience and Technical skills.

The sift will take place shortly after the closing date.
In the event of a high volume of applications for this vacancy, an initial sift will be conducted on the essential Technical skills criteria:

and a full sift only carried out on those applications that pass the initial sift stage.
The final stage will consist of a blended interview, which will be conducted as a video interview using MS Teams during week commencing 21st April and/or 28th April 2025.
The blended interview will test the Experience and Behaviours listed in the 'Person Specification' within the attached Candidate Pack, as well as the Strengths associated with the role. We want to hear your first, unrehearsed, natural response to strength questions, and so we dont advertise which strengths are being tested.
