Job description
Our client, a manufacturer of machinery parts, is currently looking to recruit a Welder Fabricator to be based at their manufacturing operation in Rutland.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will have responsibility for working on the metal products used in the assembly of bespoke automotive items.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
1. Fabricate and assemble metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
2. Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts securely.
3. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal pieces.
4. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
5. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
6. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and resolve any fabrication issues that arise.
7. Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations necessary for fabrication tasks.
We are looking for a motivated individual who has previously worked as a Fabricator Welder. The ability to read drawings and complete work accurately is essential. It would also be ideal if you had previously worked within the HGV, Mining, or Agricultural sectors.
