Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Derby (DE22/DE23). We are seeking a skilled individual to support students with challenging behaviour, SEN (Special Educational Needs), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions for students displaying challenging behaviour
Supporting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, Autism (ASC), or EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties)
Assisting the class teacher with implementing effective behaviour management strategies
Building strong, positive relationships to promote emotional regulation and personal development
Acting as a role model to encourage positive choices and academic engagementWe're Looking For Someone Who Has:
Experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Support Worker, Youth Worker, or SEN Teaching Assistant
A calm, consistent, and compassionate approach
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Previous work with SEN, SEMH, or within a PRU or alternative provision is desirableWhat's On Offer?
