Our Wednesbury site is a flagship Added Value centre for Avara, which employ over 150 talented individuals at the site, who help to supply some of the UK’s largest supermarkets and popular restaurants About the Role: As an inclusive, forward-thinking business, we take pride in our approach to investing in our people across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated Management Accountant to join our finance Team, based at our Wednesbury site. The role is office based and as a Management Accountant you’ll be working Monday to Friday 08.00-17.00 What will you be doing as a Management Accountant at Avara? Lead the on site Finance function and provide financial control. The management of reporting and business partnering across the site. What will your key responsibilities as a Management Accountant include? Working with the Site Manager, Site Senior Leadership Team, Operations Reporting Manager, Operations Business Partner and Central Finance. Maintain high level of financial governance, holding those on site accountable. Responsible for the site’s weekly and monthly reporting, including Profit & Loss, Bridge to Budget/Wow, commentary and KPIs. Ensuring and maintaining strict financial controls throughout the site with compliance to accounting standards. Provide Site Manger and Budget Holders with regular expenditure and analysis v Budget. Monthly Balance Sheet recs, ensuring correct treatment of Accruals & Provisions and appropriately supported. Responsible for keeping product standards up to date. Lead any site budgeting process as well as formal reforecasts as required. Maintain and report the PIP (Profit Improvement Plan) Tracker to the rest of the site management team. Ad-hoc reporting as required. Holiday Cover for other sites as required. What you’ll need to be successful: ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified with 3-5 years PQE, preferable gained within an FMCG environment. Strong financial acumen with a good understanding of financial analysis, cost management and value creation. Strong commercial awareness and experience in supporting a team. Able to work effectively to manage a team to deliver. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to think strategically to support business objectives. Able to build strong and effective working relationships with all key functions in organisation. Able to articulate issues with clarity and conviction.
