British Antarctic Survey (BAS) is looking for an exceptional Website Manager to join our Communications Team. BAS delivers and enables world-leading interdisciplinary research in the Polar Regions. You’ll be joining our Communications Team. A small yet high achieving team of communications and creative specialists, within the BAS Innovation Directorate.
Your role will help us to deliver and manage this public website for BAS, ensuring its content, functionality and accessibility, all align with organisational objectives and is communicated effectively online. This role will require working closely on stories and content from colleagues across BAS, as well as external web developers, to ensure the site meets the needs of diverse users.
Some of your main responsibilities will include:
* Foster productive collaboration with BAS communicators, scientists, operations staff and Management Teams to ensure the website reflects organisational priorities.
* Plan, manage, and deliver web-based projects, ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget.
* Develop training strategies that will deliver training and knowledge enabling our staff to tell their stories.
* Monitor and report on website analytics to guide enhancements and measure success of content, campaigns and stories.
For the role of Website Manager, we are looking for somebody who has:
* A good understanding of the importance of Communications
* Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities
