Overview
Responsible for developing and executing work within the Integrity Engineering Solutions (IES) department. Conducting assessments applied to pipeline assets which combine to deliver greater safety by minimizing risk of failures, higher productivity, longer asset life, increased asset availability from improved reliability, lower integrity related operating costs and ensures compliance with governing regulations. Conduct fitness for services (FFS) and engineering criticality assessment (ECA) and write technical reports delivered to customers. Also, support the growth of TDW’s differentiated ILI technologies (MDS and EMAT).
NOTE: The successful candidate could work out of our Salt Lake City, UT, Swindon, UK, or Houston, TX offices.
Accountability: Business Development
1. Identifies and develops Integrity Engineering Solutions (IES) opportunities to secure revenue generating projects.
2. Develops strong relationships with key TDW customers, participates in customer meetings and events to ensure IES is promoted across TDW.
3. Looks for new developments (internal and external to TDW) which can be incorporated into the IES service offerings to our customers; drives profitability and market share improvement for TDW.
4. Maintains strong partnerships with customers by understanding, anticipating and responding to their integrity needs and requirements;
5. Identifies integrated solutions using IES as a primary lever to deliver TDW pull through business.
6. Writes and presents white papers for journals, conferences and other industry events.
Accountability: Integrity Engineering
1. Executes IES work as determined by predetermined scope, customer requirements or internal TDW needs.
2. Provides technical support for or leads IES projects including, but not limited to, integrity calculations, in-line inspection (ILI) data assessment, method and model development, data analysis, data integration, new method scoping and application, verification of applied methods, etc.
3. Conducts analysis, adjusts or develops models and develops new solutions from TDW’s ILI tools.
4. Works closely with ILI data to leverage concepts, methods and approaches that are customer or market driven.
5. Participates in IES research and development work as required.
6. Writes reports and prepares and delivers presentations on IES work for customers.
7. Development and presentation of internal and external training.
8. Stays current with the pipeline regulations, industry standards, integrity assessments methods, repair methods, etc.
9. Monitors and keeps abreast of industry trends and events for new technologies, equipment and training opportunities.
10. Prepares special reports that document and/or make recommendations regarding the results of special projects or new technologies.
11. Develops and conceptualizes advanced integrity ideas through thought leadership and customer knowledge / contribution to project execution through direct TDW funding or through industry or company funding.
12. Works with third-party integrity consultants if work is subcontracted.
Other: Travel
There will be significant opportunities to travel globally.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field or ‘significant’ industry relevant experience.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in pipeline integrity/ILI/services industry.
3. Experience of ILI data analysis preferred.
4. Knowledge of pipeline codes and regulations.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to present highly technical information to individuals at all levels within the organization; Python software coding preferred.
6. Proficient MS Office skills.
