Job summary
The role provides the opportunity to work in both outpatient and community settings, providing services to a wide range of clients. CTM as a range of specialty service which support the outpatient & community team. These include staff working within clinical specialisms such as palliative care, AAC, Head & Neck and Dementia.
We are particularly keen to ensure our patients have access to communication support as a priority and this post will include the opportunity to provide therapy to communication patients. Patients can be seen in their home, in clinic, or via virtual platforms as appropriate.
We have excellent resources to support both communication and swallowing work. There is access to instrumental assessments to support clinical decision making
We have regular staff workshops and understand the importance of staff having regular clinical supervision and access to opportunities for professional development.

Main duties of the job
You will be a core member of the OPD/community team, providing communication & swallowing assessment & intervention to a patients with a range of diagnosis. These may include but not exclusive too stroke, progressive neurology's, respiratory patients.
There is the opportunity to be involved in the training of carers and other staff within the UHB.
You will be line managed by one of the band 7 outpatient team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.

4. Speech & Lang Therapy Degree
5. Member of HCPC
6. Knowledge of a broad range of assessment tools for adult clients.
7. Post-grad training in dysphagia

8. RCSLT dysphagia accredited training
9. Member of RCSLT clinical excellence network in relevant clinical area.
10. experience of training, teaching and supervising others
