As a Visitor Experience Duty Manager, you will be dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors attending shows, workshops, conferences, or enjoying our new café and bars. You will supervise a large team of visitor services staff across two buildings, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of audiences in all public spaces. Your role will involve strong management and team leadership, effective communication with visitors, staff, and clients, and the ability to problem-solve under pressure while remaining calm. Additionally, you will handle budgetary and cash management tasks and commit to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Desirable skills and experience for this role include managing a busy bar or catering operation, holding a Personal License under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005, and having knowledge or interest in the arts. Relevant qualifications in Catering, Hospitality, or Business Management, along with a First Aid Certificate, marketing and promotional experience, Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, and knowledge of F&B specific software systems for stock control and profit management, are also advantageous.
