About the role Are you a skilled finance systems professional with a passion for enhancing and optimising financial management platform solutions? We're seeking a Finance Workstream Lead to oversee the continuous improvement, maintenance, and optimisation of our recently implemented Workday Financial Management (FINS) platform which is accompanying the roll out of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Professional Services Automation (PSA). This role is central to supporting our evolving business needs, ensuring seamless platform functionality, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement. The Key Responsibilities: FINS Roadmap Management: Developing and maintaining a strategic roadmap for FINS, aligning platform enhancements with business goals and prioritising initiatives for continuous improvement. Change Requests & Issue Resolution: Managing and prioritising cases submitted through ‘Workday Matters’, coordinating with stakeholders, including the COO and Finance Director, to address critical needs. Overseeing the Deferred List, prioritising change requests that require future action. Troubleshooting and resolving FINS-related issues to optimise system functionality and user satisfaction. FINS Cyclical Checklist Management: Ensuring the completion of monthly and annual Workday tasks to maintain system stability and compliance. Configuration & Process Improvements: Implementing configuration updates and process changes in collaboration with Finance team stakeholders to meet evolving business requirements. Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with HCM, PSA, and Help Workstream Leads to coordinate on configuration requirements, process changes, and issue resolutions. Collaborating with the Workday Data Analytics Lead for reporting requests and security configurations related to FINS. Partnering with the Senior Developer and Solution Architect to ensure FINS integrations meet business and system requirements. User Support & Upskilling: Providing support and guidance to the Finance team on Workday-related issues, fostering user confidence and system expertise. Workday Release Management: Leading release checks and testing for biannual Workday updates in March and September, ensuring compatibility with FINS and effective communication to stakeholders. Cross-system Integrations: Engaging with stakeholders to manage integrations that impact FINS, promoting aligned systems and efficient workflows. Documentation & Policy Review: Collaborating with the Help Workstream Lead to manage document reviews, including key policies and annual business requirements. About you: Strong expertise in financial management systems, preferably Workday Financial Management (FINS). Excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills for handling system configurations and process improvements. Proven experience in roadmap planning, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. A proactive approach to user support and knowledge-sharing within finance teams.
