We are delighted to be working with a highly regarded school in Redditch to recruit a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.
This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the life of a Reception-aged child with complex special educational needs.
This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, with potential for extended hours and contract length.
You will work closely with the child, providing tailored 1:1 support to ensure their academic and personal development.
Your role will be essential in helping them thrive in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
- Provide personal care, including feeding and changing, as needed.
- Assist with learning activities, adapting tasks to meet the child's needs.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies.
- Monitor the child's progress and well-being, reporting any concerns.
- Foster a positive, caring, and stimulating environment to encourage development.
We are seeking candidates who bring empathy, patience, and enthusiasm to the role.
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Experience working with physically disabled children.
- Confidence in providing personal care.
- Paediatric First Aid training (or willingness to undertake training).
- A calm and nurturing approach, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
